Photographer Raymond MARTINEZ lives near Arles in the south of France.
He’s been carrying for years his artistic work. Time, trace and memory are the main ideas that guide him. This site presents its various creative works, including images representing the material as “Traces deVie” or “Sur la Peau de l’Eau”.
He also presents his virtual galery, his exhibitions and biography. His recent images, presented in his collection “Le Souffle du Temps” comes more under the abstract photography. They better look like paintaings than photography. Painting is the matter too, when it comes to the last collection “Les Chevalets de Saint Paul”. All the images, created in the art therapy workshop at the clinic where Vincent Van Gogh was interned in Saint Rémy de Provence in the late 1800’s, question the absence of the work. Just a few traces of brush are the late testimony of the act of painting.
On top on these creations armed with his professional drone pilot diploma, he has been taking pictures for companies since 2020 using this new technological tool. Finally, he leads photography courses in order to share his image experience. He thus offers his trainees to guide them in a phototourism practice.
